A Little Persuasion Works
In Colorado, a 21-year-old junior along with other students of Colorado College have been able to change the mind of their school’s officials. And they have been able to persuade the higher ups to actually put in a solar array on one of the campus’ dorms. This solar array amounts to $186,000 and it is currently the largest civilian array of solar cells in the Colorado Springs area.
This student is David Amster-Olszewski and he says, “We’ve done so far what the college is really good at, which is talking and writing a report.” He also disclosed that he would like to see that report in action and he says that solar power is the way to go because it is “cost-effective”.
Of course, the school’s officials had not just been persuaded. They have been already looking at using solar power as a good source of energy. The school is also in fact working on a 10-year plan that helps the campus not use much fossil fuels.

I’m glad that the students stood up for something they believe and that it worked out but Colorado is already utilizing more and more solar power.
