A Solar Powered Windmill
Yes, you read correctly - a solar powered windmill - which may seem strangely redundant, but it’s actually a model kit for educational purposes. The windmill uses solar power to demonstrate how a real windmill would work.
The kit consists of plastic parts, a solar panel and a motor. Just snap it together (some parts may require gluing for stability), stick it in some sunny goodness and away she’ll spin.
Recommended for young ‘uns aged 13 and up, it’s available from GrassRootsStore.com in Toronto for $25 CDN. Here’s the product page.

There is a very elegant model (not a kit) I saw on sale in Barcelona of a three blade modern windmill already constructed and all in white plastic, powered by two small solar panels. Can anyone tell me where to buy? I cannot find the shop again.
