Arlington Benefits From Wind Power Plant

by Noel on November 30th, 2006

I simply do envy Arlington. The area now benefits from a wind power plant. I am now thinking when would this be made a locality in my area. A wind power plant not only benefits the environment but it also does benefit homes and even businesses.

In Arlington, you see, there are now new turbines that convert the wind’s strength into usable power. In fact, there are even sixty seven new ones now changing the wind into something useful. The whole plant started out its commercial operations just recently. They call the plant the Leaning Juniper 1 and it is a wind generation facility.

The Leaning Juniper 1 is owned by PacifiCorp and the group did say that the electricity created at the wind facility would be able to benefit the it’s 1.7 million customers. Pat Reiten, the head of PacifiCorp, shares, “This project is a demonstration of our commitment to pursue renewable resources and a clear indication of our intent to diversify our generation portfolio with cost effective, environmentally prudent resources. Our customers can be proud that an increasing portion of electricity in our portfolio is coming from the wind.”
