Better Hide If Your Business Ain’t Recycling
If your business in Ottawa ain’t recycle, then you might start working on that for it does seem like more of the city’s officials are not that happy about such a situation. And they sure are planning to do something about it.
Right now, the most recent news is that they are now working out and creating tougher and newer laws on garbage for all who own businesses and institutions in the city. One of the mandates in the new garbage laws would be requiring all these groups to stop sending out recyclable materials to the landfill. Also, they are working out that these groups should also be separating their garbage already.
According to Peter Hume, the Alta Vista Councilor, “The fact is there are large amounts of divertable materials produced by the industrial, commercial and institutional sector being landfilled by them and others, so what we’re saying is, ‘Start some programs to divert it’.”
