Earth-Friendly School

by Noel on December 25th, 2006

In school, we are taught tons of theories and quite a few applications. In fact, we are often taught ideas and it is up to us if we need to put them into action or not.

This school believes that it is about time that they incorporation not only practical theories but practical applications as well. The school is the St. Francis of Assisi Primary School and it has created a biosphere so as not only to show its students what it can do for the planet but so also as to let the students take part in the learning process.

The biosphere helps the children learn more about caring for the environment and learning more about what the environment has in store for them. The biosphere also has got a solar panel. So when the school is closed, the energy that the solar panel accumulates is actually collected so much so that it can be sold to the National Grid.
