Earth Hour Updates
So how was your Earth Hour experience? Did many people in your neighborhood joined? If you’re wondering how it went in other countries, here are some of the Earth Hour links I found
1. Cities switch of lights for Earth Hour
2. Aussies turned on by Earth Hour switch off poll
4. Bloomberg
5. Xinhuanet
I wish there is a live sattelite feed somewhere where a sattelite hovering the earth catches the powering-off of these lights during the Earth Hour. I imagine that if a lot of people joined, we’ll be seeing a big vertical area of the Earth (the timezone at 8:00pm) with very few lights, and every hour, another area goes off. Now that’s a very nice scene to watch.

We cheated a little bit. We turned out all of the lights except one that was connected to the batteries charged by our solar panel.

My fiance and I live in Colorado and it looked like we were the only ones in our neighborhood that honored Earth Hour. We did see one sign in town advertising the occasion but never saw anything on the news about it.

@Tim
No problem, having turned out almost all of the lights except one is a big thing compared to people who haven’t done anything during that event.

In some areas there isn’t much hype about it but good thing you participated. Last year it started in Australia, now the whole world is participating. I strongly believe that next year many more will become aware of it.
