First Offshore Wind Generator in China

Located just right in Liaodong Bay in China, the very first offshore wind power station of the mentioned country has already been operational. Yes, that would be a good cause to celebrate for it means that yet another country has invested in renewable energy sources.
Now this very first wind power station in China was created by the China National Offshore Oil Corp. or the CNOOC. This company is actually China’s largest oil producer offshore. And with that in mind, this just goes to say that the offshore wind power station is going to be one of the most successful ones ever built.
Operation of the first offshore wind power station in China had started last November 8th. As of November 26th, the station has already been able to produce 200,000 kW hours of power. On this, Zhou Shouwi, the deputy general manager of CNOOC, shares, “This is the first wind power station in the world designed for power supply of offshore oil and gas fields.”
