Gadgets Add To Garbage
So it is a given fact that those who create our friendly neighborhood gadgets claim that the newest innovations and inventions actually help Mother Nature lessen her load of garbage. How? Well, let’s just say that there are now gadgets like mobile phones that could be used as an alarm clock, video, and camera. So it means all you need is one mobile phone and do away with the alarm clock, video camera, and the digital camera, right?
Well, maybe. However, there are environmentalists who are saying that such “innovations” as we call them only adds up the amount of garbage around us. Just imagine, with more and more people buying those high-technology gadgets, they then discard all those other gadgets. I mean, who would need that alarm clock, video cam, and digicam when you have that mobile phone already?
What do you think?
All I know is that Greenpeace is now saying that they have estimated around 20 to 50 tons of electronics are sent out as garbage each year. Compute that for the long run.
