GB#10 - Teams Announced for Solar Decathlon 2007
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) has announced the 20 collegiate teams who have been selected to compete in the 2007 edition of the Solar Decathlon.
The Solar Decathlon is an international competition in which student teams compete to design, build, and operate highly energy-efficient and completely solar-powered houses that incorporate building integrated photovoltaics. The teams selected for the competition will be awarded $100,000 over the next two years to help finance the research and building of their entries. If all goes as planned, the 2007 Decathlon will again take place on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
