GB#18 - Web Based DIY Energy Audits
The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has developed a comprehensive software tool that allows folks to perform their own energy audits online, apparently a first, though I seem to recall seeing at least one similar tool elsewhere (though at this late hour in the blogathon, I doubt I’ll be able to find it).
By entering your zip code and then answering a few questions, the software will calculate the potential savings available to you based on making some efficiency improvements. It will also provide possible upgrade paths, cost calculations, and ROI figures for your situation.
Check it out at the Online Home Energy Saver.
