GE, Looking Further Into Solar Energy

A solar energy research program is already part of the whole deal at General Electric Company which is more known as GE. However, because of an $8.1 million grant given by the US Department of Energy, the company would delving even deeper into this kind of research. The grant is part of the Solar America Initiative that is backed by President Bush.
Victor Abate the vice president for the renewables team for GE is expressing his thoughts when he shares, “We believe that GE’s participation in the Solar America Initiative will play a significant role in helping the United States solar industry grow rapidly. We are honored that the DOE chose GE Energy to be a part of this innovative program.”
The company would also be working with an alliance of other businesses, companies, and groups and together, they would be working on making solar energy competitive. And by doing such, they would also be able to promote the advantages of being able to use renewable energy like solar power.
