Global Warming = More Storms

Have you noticed that storms seem to have gone stronger through the years?
Well, according to researchers who have been studying the link between cruel weather and global warming have said that the severe storms that we are having are all part of the effects of global warming. They have also gathered data that when analyzed said that there is going to be a dramatic increase in the severity of future storms.
These storm and global warming researchers are from Purdue University and they have been using climate models so as to get their data from. Robert Trapp is their leader and he is an associate professor of earth and sciences at the mentioned university. On the results, he disclosed, “It seems that areas in the U.S. prone to severe thunderstorms now will likely have more of them in the future. We can’t predict individual storms, but we can project the number of days with conditions conducive to storm formation.”
Scary.

Very scary, although not a huge surprise. Hopefully the worse the news gets the more people will sit up and take notice. Not sure how bad it will have to get though. That’s sad.
Thanks for posting though - had not seen this study.

Sorry, not true. The southeast (an area prone to severe storms) is currently suffering a drought. They sure could use a storm right now. Are these the same climatologists who said 2006 was the hottest year on record when actually, it doesn’t even make the top 10 list? Fact is there are dozens of weather models out there that vary significantly. So, we don’t know how to predict the weather yet. Time to change majors.

Its bad but not surprised because I think sooner or later the whole world will be facing the similar problem…
A very nice article…
