GM’s Hybrid Concept To Be Unveiled At Frankfurt Motor Show

As mentioned in my previous post, the Frankfurt Motor Show would be the channel for Peugeot to show off its 308 Hybrid HDi vehicle. Now, it looks like Peugeot is not the only car maker to do such a thing.News has it that General Motors is also going to unveil its hybrid concept vehicle at the mentioned auto show. This new one has yet to be named though the company did say that it comes using the E-Flex system - the very same system that the Chevrolet Volt plug-in vehicle also uses.
Come next year, this concept hybrid vehicle is going to undergo tests for durability and quality. These tests would be going on for two years. This is as according to a statement that Frank Weber, GM’s chief engineer, disclosed. He also did continue to say with regards to the vehicle: “This has extremely high torque characteristics similar to what you would get from a V6 engine, and it is available from zero revs.”
