Going Environmentalist

When I was younger, when someone says that he or she is an environmentalist, I honestly try to find if there are leaves coming out from his ears of if he/she has a skin made of bark. That’s how I thought of them - as if they were people living in caves and had turned into trees of some sort.
Anyhow, I wanted to share with you some tips from wikiHow on how you can be an environmentalist. At least, you would know how to become one without turning into a tree.
- Go to different websites about animals and the rainforest. Take as many notes as you can. Figure out what your favorite animal is. A good place to start is National Geographic.
- Write to people famous known for being environmentalists, such as Jane Goodall or Jeff Corwin for any questions. Jeff Corwin is a good choice if you want to know more about a certain animal.
- Go outside to a local park or wildlife sanctuary. Spot the wildlife and take notes on their behavior, size, population, etc. Talk to the people who work there about them. Keep a notebook of activities.
- Pick up litter. Litter is everywhere. It can be found on roadsides, at big events, and in busy places, such as gas stations. Help keep our home and environment clean by picking it up. All litter ends up in the ocean or destroys wildlife habitats on land.
- Do a variety of fun things. Make an endangered animal club, post up Earth Day posters, make a bird feeder.
