Good Old Summertime
During summer, a lot of people are going out to their backyards for a good barbeque weekend. Grilling, smoking, hickory smells, yum yum, I think I’ll have a steak this weekend. Anyway, talking about Good Old Summertime, what better time to try out some solar cooking.
Some previous posts here at unpluggedliving regarding solar cooking are
1. ultimate solar hotdog cooker
2. Windshield Shade Solar oven
If you have a little bit more time, you can try and make your own solar cookers. Here are a couple of plans for DIY solar cookers.
Check it out here.

I’ve read a couple places about making cookies inside the car in the summer but then I would crave cookies all the time because my car would smell like them. We are going to try and build our own solar dehydrator this summer so hopefully it goes well.
