Help Out The Environment Your Own Way

Donna Kramer Merritt, a member of The Climate Project, says that little things like using fluorescent bulbs actually do help save the environment. Even by taking your mobile phone off the charger once it is already full is a step towards keeping the environment cleaner and greener. Simple things like these do add up and these work towards saving the environment. “All these little things really add up,” emphasizes Merritt.
As part of her duty to let people know and remind them about keeping the environment cleaner, she states, “We can be a model by the actions we take. All that’s needed is the will of the people to do this. We have the resources.” She even does further say that we have been changing our environment with our lifestyles. “We’re destroying our eco-system,” she sadly notes.

It will happen eventually. Remember when it was OK to smoke in public? Now it’s frowned upon. Wasting energy will someday be viewed the same way. We need to set a good example by our actions, and others will follow. Someday it will be shameful to drive alone in a SUV, or to burn incandescent light bulbs, or to have floodlights lighting up the outside of your home at night.

I think so too. The key ingredient here would be the “setting of a good example” specially at home.
