Help Reduce Global Warming Even At Home

Aside from the list I gave you in my previous post, I also chanced upon a list of tricks and things that we all can do at home to help reduce global warming. I think we all should be familiar with the tips so here I am writing about ‘em.
- It would be better if we used compact fluorescent lights (or CFLs) instead of the conventional incandescent light bulbs. CFLs last longer and use up less energy than the incandescent ones.
- Adjust your thermostat just three notches above or below your usual. Those three notches help out a lot in lessening CO2 emissions in the long run.
- Go walking or take a bicycle instead. Or if the distance is quite too long, make sure that you drive your vehicle with properly inflated tires. Or else you’re only going to allow your vehicle to use up too much gas.
- Planning to get new appliances? I think you’d better stick to those with the EnergyStar sticker. That way, you’re sure it doesn’t eat up much of your electricity and that it works just as you expected it to.
