Hospitals in India To Use Renewable Power

by Noel on July 5th, 2007

In India, district hospitals are soon going to use renewable energy. Such a move is part of the country’s plans towards sharing just what benefits one can get from using renewable energy.

Each district hospital is going to receive one solar power plant. This would be used so as to give the right amount of energy and power to the facilities in the building. Such has been decided just last 27th of June after a meeting was held which had the chairperson of MANIREDA and the chief engineer for power and the chief director for planning attending it.

Also discussed during the mentioned meeting were other plans on how to show people what renewable energy could do. They had decided on building energy parks in the hospitals and other institutions. That way, people could be able to first-handedly experience renewable energy and solar power.

This, for me, is a good idea. And I do hope that such a project succeeds.
