Hydro Power Plant To Stand On Araks River
It looks like Myanmar and China are not the only countries to actually make use and hone water. And according to current reports, two more countries, this time located in the Middle East, would be honing the water so as to be converted into usable, clean energy. The countries? Iran and Armenia.
So how soon is the building of the hydro power plant going to be? Well, Armen Movsisian, the energy minister of Armenia, has already announced that the feasibility plans for the plant are already in place and ready. So perhaps starting this year or next year, everything would be moving forward so as to create this new hydro-power plant.
The plant would be built near Meghri, a town in the southern part of Armenia. The feasibility study that was done estimated that the hydro-power plant would be able to create some 130 to 140 megawatts per year. And the power honed by the plant would be benefitting people in both Iran and Armenia.
