Indian Hospital Uses Solar Heaters
The government hospital in India, Rajaji Hospital, has just most recently received a set of new solar water heaters. These new gadgets would certainly be helping out the hospital in its various duties like cooking for the patients and cleaning up and disinfecting some facilities.
Some 10 new water heaters were installed at the hospital. According to estimates, these could heat some 2000 liters of water at just one go. And yes, there is no need to use electricity for it is the sun that heats up the water.
S.M. Sivakumar is the dean in charge of the hospital and he was also there when the inauguration of the new facilities happened. During such an event, Sivakumar shares, “These heaters are capable of heating water up to 80 degree Centigrade. It takes 30 minutes to boil rice using these heaters.” The event was attended by some doctors from the hospital, staff members, and the resident medical officer.

Kudos to you sir, this is the only way forward . It should be mandatory for all new constructions ( public, private, residential or commercial ) to use solar pannels for lighting heating etc. No new building plans should be sanctioned until a minimum requirement of solar panels is incorporated in the design. The source and availabiity along with cost should be published in the newspapers. I am sure all architects and designers are capable enough in handling this little but important detail. We have been worshiping the Sun eversince now let the ”Sun God” literally into our houses.
