Klondike Wind Power Plant Gets Another Sibling
In Scotland, the Klondike I and II wind power plants are no longer the only ones in their area. Soon this 2007, another sibling would be joining their ranks. Can you guess what would be the name of this new wind power plant? You guessed right! Klondike III! According to its creator, the Klondike III would be operational come next year that is why construction of this plant is continuous. It is built just adjacent to the previous two Klondike wind power plants and when completely built, this one is expected to be able to create 221 megawatts of electricity.
The American Wind Energy Association even does say that such a great amount of power would be able to provide power to more than 56,000 homes. An added advantage also is that the construction of the new wind power plant gives people in the area jobs.
Now that would be something quite interesting to talk about.
