LA Starts Wind Farm Project

Right on a mountainside. That is where the new wind farm in Los Angeles is going to be built. And around a week back, the city’s officials had already broken ground. When finished, estimates have it that the wind farm would be able to give power to 56,000 homes.
Named as the Pine Tree Wind Project, this new wind farm is said to be complete by next year. It is 8000 acres large and Tehachapi Mountains is where it can be found. Reports have it that the whole project should cost $425 for the creation and building as well as for the new transmission line that is high voltage and the 80 units of turbines which would be getting energy from the wind.
During the groundbreaking ceremonies, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said, “We believe we have a responsibility in the city of Los Angeles to act globally by acting locally.”
