Looking At Solar Cars
Louis Palmer has been roaming the globe trying to tell people about the advantages that we all could get from using solar power. Now, we take a look at sports cars which are sleek and use power from the sun to run. Yes, that’s right. There’s a thing such as that.
These solar sports cars are joining the North American Solar Challenge. They can go pretty fast and they look really good. But they all also do come with really high price tags. So it would not be for everyone, that we could all assume.
Even Daniel Uhlord, one of the members of Germany’s SolarWorld 1 team, in an interview, had mentioned about these solar sports cars, “I don’t think so. They’re not quite up for the challenge of everyday life.”
Dan Eberle, a race director, had an idea: “Instead of having solar panels on the car, you have a solar panel at home or a solar panel at work. You drive in, plug in, charge it and then drive without carrying the solar panel along.”
