Maine Goes Green For Wind Power Plans
The green light has just gone on from Maine. And that means that wind power plan for the state is going to start soon. Stetson Wind Project, the name of the wind power deal, would be built in the Stetson Mountain, Washington County. It would be composed of 38 turbines that would take power from the wind.
Just like the previous solar deal I’ve blogged about, this wind power project would cost $100 million. That much, I know, but it would prove to be a good investment in the long run.
Each year, the whole wind power plant would be able to provide 57 megawatts of usable electricity and that would be able to give light to around 27,000 households in the state. If that is not a good number, then I don’t honestly know what is.
Through such a project, the whole of Maine’s government would be able to save much on expenses and they would also be helping out save the environment from further destruction. Don’t you think so?
