Man Lives In Solar House

by Noel on February 6th, 2007

Around 80% of the power that George Arey uses is taken straight right out of the sun. In fact, Arey, a resident of Rockingham County, states that the sun is his best friend and he furthermore adds, “I’ve always wanted to produce electricity from the sun.”

How does he do it? Well, Arey did share that his house can be called a solar house and he has used and installed solar panels on his roof. These panels would be absorbing the rays of the sun and would then convert it into usable energy. At present, his house uses 40 solar panels which powers everything in his house.

Arey also shares that by living in a solar house, he is also helping out the environment. He also shares, “Just by the instruments that I have I already have saved 5 thousand pounds of carbon dioxide from going into the air. So I can measure, at this point, the difference I’ve made.”

Thanks for the question, I have produced about 5 million watts of electricty, thus far, not counting all the hot water I produced.   This is a great way to go!                                                    Thanks,  George AREY
