New Jersey’s Sun Farm Network
I want a company like this in Ontario! I’m talking about the Sun Farm Network, an organization that has seen the light, shall we say, and has begun offering an innovative solar program for folks in New Jersey. It’s a full turnkey solution for residential clients that is intended to make solar power affordable and easy to use.
Not only does Sun Farm Network provide the equipment, design, and installation for your solar power system, they offer complete ‘0-down‘ financing that eliminates the up-front costs. Customers pay off the system with monthly payments that are equivalent to the savings realized from reduced utility bills. In fact, they claim it’s their goal to make your equivalent cost of solar electricity at least 10 percent less than what you are paying your current utility, so you’ll actually save a bit too.
Sun Farm Network also provides support programs to make the installation as convenient and worry-free as buying electricity from your utility, including monitoring systems so they know when something has gone awry with the gear.
I know that Sun Edison in the US has a similar program, but from their website it appears to be only for commercial clients. Does anyone know of any companies, besides Sun Farm, doing it for residential folks? Anyone in Canada doing this yet?
Here’s the Sun Farm Network website.

Hey Mr Natural! Yes, it would be awesome, but I doubt the industry has the infrastructure to supply that level of demand. It’s nice to daydream about it though.
