Peugeot’s Hybrid At Frankfurt

At the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, Peugeot is going to show off its hybrid vehicle which comes using a combination of diesel and electricity as its power source. According to the company, this vehicle of theirs is going to be made available for the European auto market.
Known as the Peugeot 308 Hybrid HDi, this vehicle is going to come as a hatchback. It is said to have been built having the capacity of more than 70 mpg. Those who are interested in purchasing the said vehicle would have to wait until 2010 for that is when it would be going into production.
The Peugeot 308 Hybrid HDi would be coming using a 1.6 liter HDI DPFS diesel engine that is not only compliant to Euro 5 emissions but is also capable of spurting out 107 HP. This hybrid also has an NiMH battery that holds 200 volts.
