Philippine City To Use Solar Power

Mandaluyong City, one of the cities in the Philippines’ National Capital Region, is on the move towards using solar energy as a main source of power. Its head, Mayor Benhur Abalos, did mention that using such would be a big help to boosting their dwindling funds.
The mayor continued to say, “A big amount of money is spent not only by the city but the national government as well for the electric power consumption of lampposts and other lighting facilities.”
At present, the city how has solar energy specialists working on their problem. These specialists are looking at a good project wherein they can make use of solar power to better light the streets of the city.
That would most certainly be a good thing. After all, streets that are not lighted well could be the haven of those who do not do good deeds once the sun hides its rays. But with saved solar power, the city could continue to light the streets and keep everyone safe. And yes, without even having to shell out great amounts of cash for each month.
