Pizza Made with Sunny Goodness
Back in February, I profiled the Anderson Valley Brewing Company in Boonville, California (see here) and the 125 kWh solar PV system that they’re using to make beer with sunny goodness. Well, I just found the perfect thing to go with that solar beer - solar pizza.
Stephano’s Pizza in Mill Valley, California has been running a 26 kW solar PV system since 2004. The array covers 2600 square feet of roof space over both the pizza joint and an adjoining building and generates 80% of the business’ electrical needs. As Jason at SolarDweller points out…”I didn’t know it was possible to feel any better eating pizza, but now I’ve found a way. Pizza, powered by the sun. Mmmmmmmmm.” My sentiments exactly, dude!
Here’s some more info on the set-up courtesy of SolarDepot.com.
