Potato Company To Use Wind Power

McCain Foods of UK is known for its potato products and soon enough, they would also be known for being quite environment friendly. According to the company, they are going to shell out £10 million as investment. With that amount of money, they are going to have three wind turbines built at their factory and the power that could be transformed into usable energy would then be used in their potato chips factory.
Estimates from the company state that if the project pushes through and becomes a successful one, they should be able to save around 60% of their current bills. 60% is surely a big amount and just think that 60% of a factory’s expenses is surely quite huge.
On this project, Bill Bartlett, the director for corporate affairs, states, “We are particularly proud to be the first major food manufacturer to use alternative energy on this scale. This demonstrates that a large-scale manufacturing plant can operate efficiently while significantly reducing its carbon footprint.”

Great post!
If the economics don’t work, recycling efforts won’t either.
As our little contribution to make this economics of recycling more appealing, http://LivePaths.com blogs about people and companies that make money selling recycled or reused items, provide green services or help us reduce our dependency on non renewable resources.
