Recycling At Home

I’ve been looking for some additional tips on recycling and I came across these really cool ones from recyclenow. I thought I’d share them with you.
- Take out to containers - one for recyclables and one for those that really need to be thrown away.
- A shopping list would help you buy what you only would be needing.
- Reusable bags are the way to go instead of plastic bags when shopping.
- Refillable products are better.
- Get less of pre-packed fruits and vegetables.
- When throwing away soda cans (or any other can for that matter), squash them first. That way, they take up less space.
- If you received a gift, you can still use that wrapping paper for the next occasion that comes along.
- If you have tons of items (like clothes and books and other bric-a-brac) that you don’t need, set up a garage sale or give them to charity.
