Recycling At Home

by Noel on June 25th, 2007

I’ve been looking for some additional tips on recycling and I came across these really cool ones from recyclenow. I thought I’d share them with you.

  1. Take out to containers - one for recyclables and one for those that really need to be thrown away.
  2. A shopping list would help you buy what you only would be needing.
  3. Reusable bags are the way to go instead of plastic bags when shopping.
  4. Refillable products are better.
  5. Get less of pre-packed fruits and vegetables.
  6. When throwing away soda cans (or any other can for that matter), squash them first. That way, they take up less space.
  7. If you received a gift, you can still use that wrapping paper for the next occasion that comes along.
  8. If you have tons of items (like clothes and books and other bric-a-brac) that you don’t need, set up a garage sale or give them to charity.
