Recycling Those Skiing Gear

This is a fact: each year, there are tons and tons and more tons of skiing gear that make their way to garbage dumps. These skiing gear are discarded by ski rental shops in and around the French Alps where skiing is a booming business during the cold and snowy months.
One of the newest facts is that Tri-Vallees, a waste disposal company based in Albertville, Canada, has come up with a solution to this after years of research. Two years ago, they had started a new process in the La Plagne area and they went out to ski rental shops and collected skiing gear which were destined to be disposed of. That year, the company was able to collect 15 tonnes of such.
After that, the company took the effort to separate any metals from all other types of materials. Then, the metal-free materials are crushed and grinded seven times that they become really fine. These fine pieces of what used to be skiing gear are sent to a factory that makes cement. Here, the fine particles become combustible material.
