Solar Laptop Bag
One of my friends hates lugging around this bulky laptop bag. But I am sure that he would come to love this laptop bag which can charge up your laptop. Yes, this laptop bag from Voltaic Systems Inc. is known as The Generator and it can give juice to the laptop through solar panels inside. I think the whole design of this laptop bag is just like all other solar bags that we have discussed so far. Anyway, The Generator is the very first solar-powered laptop bag I’ve come across so far.
Aside from charging your laptop, The Generator could also charge up other gadgets like your cell phone, your PDA, and even your MP3 player. Julie Wineinger is a spokesperson for a company in New York and she said, “It could be for people on a road trip or for traveling business people. This is great for people traveling who don’t have access to a place to plug in and charge up.”

i really doubt the charging current capacity of the bag and given the fact that solar tends to be a cost intensive technology i am not sure if the buck going in to buy this bag will actually charge the battery to a respectable level. it would have been better if it was a ‘crank up’ bag with a really big spring to generate real power.
