Solar Lights To Help Traffic
Imagine a busy street in your locality. Imagine just how confusing everything seems even with the traffic lights working. Now imagine just how much more chaotic the whole scenario would be when the traffic lights don’t work because there is a blackout.
Well, there seems to be a solution to that and it has already been thought of by the Johannesburg Roads Agency in South Africa. Starting this June, the area would be having traffic lights that would get power from the sun so these would still be working even if there is no electricity. The solar powered traffic lights would be installed in the area’s 200 intersections.
The very first solar powered traffic lights have already been installed and they could be found in the country’s intersection in Grayston Drive and Rivonia Road. This intersection is known as one of the busiest in the country. With the solar lights installed, traffic would still continue to flow smoothly and that would really be something.

What if the power goes out during a storm, which means there’s no sun?
