Solar Trailer Gives Power To Calamity Victims

by Noel on February 12th, 2007

If you were one of the victims of calamities like hurricanes and tsunamis, you certainly would have to live the first few days after the disaster bringing your home back to the ground and lying down in the night without any electricity.

However, if you are suffering from medical conditions which need some electrical apparatus to make you feel better, then you might be quite in trouble.

Thanks to the solar trailer, such worries could be answered.

A solar trailer has been making rounds in the country, especially in areas where disasters seem to strike much too often. This one is owned by Bill Young who is from the Florida Solar Energy Center and he allows people to make use of this solar powered generator.

Taking a look at the trailer, you would see that on its wheels is a large flat solar panel which takes advantage of the hot sun and converts it into usable energy. In fact, Young says, this device would actually provide more than 2500 watts in around a day.
