Sprint Looking At Wind To Give Light

The Sprint-Nextel Corporation is currently thinking about setting up a small wind turbine which would give light to its campus. According to sources, Sprint is off thinking that they would like to have a wind turbine power generator built and that such would stand to be around 40 feet tall. Of course, they would still have to send out a proposal and have it approved.
Reports did continue that Sprint is eyeing to have the Skystream 3.7 Compact Wind Turbine which, as estimated, can turn the power of the wind into usable energy that would be around 400 kW per month. That amount of energy could actually light up the signs of the streets in the company’s campus.
John Taylor is the public affairs manager for the company and he says, “We’re really trying to limit our footprint on the environment and this is just one more example of that.” And on the kind of noise or disturbance that the wind turbine could bring to the area, he says, “A conversation between two people is louder than the noise generated by this turbine.”
