Use Lesser This Energy This Summer

Although we love the sun and we love summer, we sometimes do get too much heat that it becomes bothersome. Because of this, I tend to use up a greater amount of energy so I could cool down. I know this is one concern which has been bugging me at the start of the summer season. And that is why I decided to try to find some tips on how I could lessen my use of energy for the season.
Lucky for me I found these online.
- If you are not home, then why turn on your air conditioner? Turn it on only when you’re going to use it.
- Make sure that your air conditioner’s filters are clean.
- If you need to use your appliances, as much as possible use them during the “cool” hours of the day like during the night or during sunrise.
- If you can’t stand the heat, try to use electric fans. They use up less energy compared to air conditioners.

My son makes us homemade paper fans. Year Round! He saw it on Blue’s Clues. Alas… they don’t ever seem to work very well for very long (tired arms).

A crafty little fella huh :-) It’s nice to see kids’ crafts. My son is 3 yo. now and so far he hasn’t made any paper fans yet.
By age 7 perhaps I’ll try to introduce him to make solar powered paper fans using recycle motors from old RC toys. :-)
